7 weeks ago I went to bed with plugged ears, woke up one ear was unplugged, one was not. The Dr siad it was blocked tube and should clear up. Now I have been diagnosed with idiopathic SSHL. 2 weeks ago my right ear blocked uo and seems to plu and unplg, the Dr has me on prednesone, and thinks that it should protect my right ear too. Does anyone know how common it is to develope in both ears, and does anyone with this condition still suffer from severely plugged feeling in the ear ? I am just 30 and have 2 young children and am having a very hard time coping, if anyone is at the other end now, I would love to know how you made it there ? Thank you .scaredgirl on 2009-04-07
