The ABC Homeopathy Forum

12 year old with Chronic Bronchitis

Hello,

I have successfully been using homeopathy for years (even with our pets!). But I'd like some assistance with my son's cough.

He had a cold about 5-6 weeks ago and it has turned into a deep, nasty cough that won't go away. It is worse with any kind of exertion and seems better when he is sitting or laying down (being still). He gets it every year and has been prescribed asthmatic puffers in the past. We usually opt to treat it homeopathically but I can't seem to remember exactly what we used last year.

The cough produces a bit of slimy (but not stringy) yellow or green mucous. He does seem phlegmy and need to clear his nose fairly often. Otherwise he doesn't seem sick.

He is a happy kid who isn't athletic but is in good shape. He is funny and has an empathetic heart. He is also resistant to sudden change.

When I research the remedies I see Hepar Sulph (but he doesn't have dryness), Kali Bich (but he doesn't have stringy) and a number of other possibilities. I get confused about how to differentiate between the acute and constitutional subtleties of each remedy.

Hope someone can help me out with some guidance. Oh, and should tissues salts be given as well?

Thanks so much, Anna22

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
please give him PULSATILLA 30C every 4 hours for some 4 to 6 doses max or till you find a little amilioration in symptoms.

wait and watch for the next day and report after 2 days.

I went out today but could only find Pulsatilla 6ch, so I didn't get it. I do, however, have Pulsatilla 200ch at home. Can I give him this? And if so, in what dosage?

watch the changes and report.

Hi,

Five days ago my son took the Pulsatilla. We did see change, he is 40% better now but is still phlegmy with a loose cough. I waited as I thought it may continue to improve. Should I give him something else at this point?

Thanks.
