Urticaria treatment

My husband is 35 years old and is suffering from urticaria. We have not been able to know the triggers for the same. One reason can be digestive problems. Can you please suggest me some medication and for how long the same needs to be administered.

Hi,

Thanks for replying. Following are the answers i gathered from my husband:

1.He is suffering from June 2007....it is off and on and lasts for some weeks, sometimes it is gone in 2-3 days

2. it appears on all body parts and usually on face, hands, skin and back and lower torso

3. Citrus fruits like orange, grapes acuse/agravate it and even the juices can cause it. But it is not so always i.e. sometimes consumption of these fruits might not cause it at all. Also, some kind of synthetic trousers also seems to agravate this.

4. No other physical problems, no mental provlems assocaited with it

5. It all started when he was 7 years old and then he was given homeopathic treatment in jamshedpur.Later in 2005, in US, due to change in food habits, he noticed it one or twice. But since June 2007, it is quite a regular feature.

6. He feels better in cold weather. though humid/dry weather does not affect much.

7. All food are okay with him. No special cravings. But he likes a little fried and sweet stuff. He cannot eat red or black pepper even in moderate amounts.

8.Thirst and hunger is absolutely normal. Bowel movement is also okay. No constipation.

9. Does not feel fresh even after 7-8 hours of sleep. Dreams are pleasant.

10. He takes just Lorfast whenevr this allergy strikes. Upto 3-4 tablets is taken by him each day in worse scenario.

11.His frame is small to medium, height is 5ft 9inches and carries a weight of 80kgs.

12. No major disease running in family.

SEX: MALE
NATURE OF WORK: RESEARCH, on the desk job
HABITS: please suggest as to the nature you would like to know.

Thank you again
