diaper rashes

my daughter (7 months old) has rashes caused by diapers. The affected area is red and skin is rough but there is no itching. She also throws up milk after feeding bottled milk. Sometimes it is right after she is finished or sometimes later on but she always throws up. Whatever she throws up it is not same all the time (just like milk, curd like etc) Note that she doesn't throw up mother's milk!! Mother's milk is not sufficient.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.

She has taken Aethusa 30 but no improvement as of yet. Aethusa was taken before the rashes. I forgot to mention one more thing i.e she has skin eruptions on her head (back) as well and the hair there are sticky no oozing discharge.

Looks to be you are familiar with homeopathy.Pl.give all symptoms.

How many doses of Aethusa was used, and what was the response?

Aethusa 30 is actually being given for 4-5 days once or twice a day but no improvment at all. I think I have provided all symptoms.

One must consider: Is it the diaper? or the vomiting up of milk? Formula may be the cause of the rash. Are they paper diapers? If cloth, change to paper to see if she was sensitive to the soaps, etc.

Vomiting up of the milk is the main symptom. It doesn't seem the milk is good for her. Try some rice milk or soy. This may correct the diaper rash.

VALERIANA 30X may be some help until you get her formula corrected. She seems sensitive and regular cows milk will not do for her. one should consider this important.

Later, when food agrees and if a diaper rash becomes an irritant, one has to think about the rash as more important.

"Diaper rash" only indicates the location of rash, not always caused by the diaper, but the acidity of the urine.

Teach her to drink water. If giving juices, cut in half with water. Too much juice can cause acute diaper rash.

I am pretty sure that rashes were caused by diapers because she is not using those diapers. She is using better ones now. Rashes are better now after applying Calendula cream. (I shoud tell the readers that Calendula is an excellent cream for minor cuts, and diaper rashes as well). As far as vomitting is concerned, she doesn't drink cow's milk. She takes Meiji's powdered milk. I have tried other brands but all in vain. Please note that she is not getting weak or any kind of problem caused by vomittings. Her vomittings are now offensive! Should I still try VALERIANA 30X even though she is not taking cow's milk?

One remedy that often helps babies to digest milk is silica - taken by the mother say potency 30 c once a day for a week and wait.

Your idea of Calendula is excellent.Calendula lotion/powder helps many cases of skin problems, which arise due to friction.

Valeriana fit the discription of the vomiting of curds and not holding the milk down, regardless of type of milk.

It is still NOT settling with her and she needs another type.

Some persons are allergic to "natural" things.

A weekly dose of Belladonna-30 may relieve her diaper rashes. I saw most of the cases cured of this particular symptom.

I thought this was interesting: there is a diaper cream that uses a small amount of vinegar to create a strong pH change in the diaper cream, supposedly bringing it to the same pH as skin. I use vinegar in cloth diapering and I thought this might be a useful product. I ordered some free. What do you think? It's called Baby Paste 5.0, I got it from Mendelson Pharmaceuticals if you're interested. Thanks!

I think the rash is caused by the diaper. For me I change my baby's diaper every 2 hours then wash up with tepid water and soap the dry,and some powder. I think keeping the baby dry prevents from having a
