diarrhea of 5 year old

10 days ago my son started having high fever and green smelly diarrhea. Did not give him any medicine and just gave him enough fluids and eventually, in 2 days, fever stopped coming back and greenish diarrhea disappeared in another 2 days. But, from then on, everytime he eats something, he feels the urge and passes watery stool with mucus, no smell. This happens 4/5 times a day. Somtimes, he can not even control that urge and ends up soiling his pants. Otherwise, he is happy and hungry also. It is happening for last 7 days. Not sure whether the situation will get better on its own or we can try some homeopathic remedy. My son is very lean and thin. Very choosy about food and does not like to try new food at all. Would appreciate any help and please let me know if I need to provide any more info...
