Stroke

My 88 yr. old mother in law just had a major stroke. She is paralized on her right side-leg, arm, and partial face. At this time they do not believe that she can swallow to take nourishment. I have given her phosphous 200C by diluting in a small bottle and rubbing it on her skin. She seems to be better. More coherent, tongue seemed to move better. Eyes seems to be able to follow you now. Should this be repeated? And if so, when?

Thank you,
Berta~~~

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
No need to repeat phosphorus again. Now you can try with causticum. But remember you should monitor her blood pressure. If it is very high, give her antihypertensive. In order to prevent bed sore, pls change posture every 2hrly.Give him adequate diet very frequently by Nagogastric tube(if not able to take orally).

What potency of causticum? To our knowledge blood pressure is around 135/70. Borderline hypertensive. Should we try arnica 1M? For blood pressure first? Or use causticum?

Thank you,

The prescription above is extremely dangerous.

Causticum is INIMICAL to Phosphorus, and will produce horrible aggravations when given after it. I am amazed as to how people will with little knowledge start playing with people's lives on this forum.

If you are seeing improvement with 200c of Phosphorus, do not repeat , keep waiting till there is improvement happening.

When the improvement comes to a complete halt, give a SINGLE dose of Phosphorus 1M which is not to be repeated under any circumstances.

Not to worry after checking with my repertory I realized that causticum was incorrect. I ALWAYS check with my repertory first then see what others have done that they know works. I am not able to give anything by mouth. If necessary-how do I give and at what dosage the phosporous 1M. Should I purchase a liquid so I can just put on skin?

Thank you for your help and also for setting it straight about the causticum!!!

Stroke with paralysis-causticum is the right choice of drug. Why there is paralysis? There is neuronal damage.Causticum is the first choice which can prevent neuronal damage.I am very shocked that people know little but they react like very wise. Why this patient responses to phosphorus?phos is a remedy which can give energy.Any debilitating people who is too weak always responses to phos.It does n't mean that this is the right choice of drug.our patient need definately causticum 1M single dose if needed 10M or higher potency. But Mr.berta give her mother phos. This patient never come back from paralytic state with phos.I just want to say pls give her causticum after 10 to 15 days.At that time the cross reaction between phos and causticum is not possible.

Dear Berta ,

If and when it is necessary to give 1M, dissolve 1 pellet in 100 ml water , and then stir and give 1 spoon. Throw away the rest.
