baby sleeping problems

My little 3 and half month old baby has been experiencing some trouble with sleeping especially during the day. Earlier he would sleep for one or two hours continuously and wake up fresh. Now he can barely sleep 45 minutes and wakes up crying and looks sleepy and keeps yawning. Another problem that has arisen is that he needs to be rocked to sleep and does want to lie down ans sleep. All this started after the weather changed and it became quite hot. I gave camomilla and it seemed to take care of the rocking to sleep problem, but the lack of sleep problem persits. At night too he is rather restless. Earlier he would sleep peacefully throughout the night and hardly move at all. Most times he wakes up startled. Now we have come to my husband's place which is extremely hot and the day we reached he spat up a lot and was given aethusa to which he reacted positively. Can someone help me sort out this problem? thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
if you are not giving him chamomilla, you can give one dose of PULSATILLA 30C just before he sleeps at night.

do it for 2 to 3 days and then stop.

Thank you so much for your reponse. Would it be okay to give one dose of chamomilla? What would pulsitilla take care of?

chamomilla and pulsatilla are inimical. this means that they interact negetively and try to nullify each other's work.

it all depends on the mental traits of the child which one would be suitable at a given time.

if your child is clingy, wants patting and afffection, is mild in nature and you feel like caressing your child .... she would need pulsatilla.

on the other hand, if your child is irritable, wakes up from sleep and starts crying, she is refusing things she generally likes, wants to be swayed on the lap, pestering everyone especially at the start of teething etc..she would need chamomilla.

you can try which one suits the case.

Thank you. I had given him chamomilla once earlier and it had resolved to a great extent his need for being rocked. I dont think it took care of his sleep problem though. He also tends to be very unhappy during the evening, something which was not a problem earlier. Also, he had a cold recently and again his nose seems to be full of mucus. Is there any relation between aggravation and the cold and sleep. Given these symptoms, which is the better medicine? He is a very happy child otherwise but sometimes starts shouting - for which I am unable to find a reason. He is not teething as yet.

if you think there has been an aggravation from chamomilla, there may be some behavioural and sleep problems. but this will not last for more than 48 hours with this potency.

if he is having a cold and there are sleeping problems in your child, you might as well try pulsatilla 30c and see if it works.

you need to take care that when you give him pulsatilla, you should not give chamomilla for the next 2 to 3 days.
