Stretch marks

Hi
I have quite a few stretch marks on my upper thighs, and more seem to be appearing all the time and I'm not quite sure why as I'm only 5'2' and 8 stone, and had no suddden weight gain/loss or growth spurt. Is there anything I can take to improve the appearance of these, and also do you think there are any underlying problems causing me to get these for no obvious reasons?
Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Do any docs know the answer to this please?

I have never been pregnant and not had any real diseases, I am on the birth control pill microgynon 30 for the last 3 years or so and recently suffered from white patches on my stomach which I am being treated for at the moment. Apart from that I just have a bit of dry skin- otherwise healthy!
