success with cantharis
I am reporting success treating a urinary tract infection with Cantharis 30c in 3 days, taking it 3x a day. Previously i had 3 kidney infections due to this problem, only treated by antibiotics. I recommend this to women at the first sign of infection.cassandralinnea on 2008-05-24

Sure. So there was the initial feeling of needing to urinate, and you can't-this means the infection is starting. If you ignore that, the burning starts and you feel the need to urinate constantly, but cannot. I think i felt weak and feverish too. At this point, if you slam your system with a lot of cranberry pills (of course the juice is almost pure sugar)and water you may avoid a worse infection. But, for me it would usually progress very quickly to a full blown kidney infection, noticed initially by pain in the kidney areas of the back, fever. This happened 3 times, but with Cantharis it won't happen again! It is truly a liberating feeling to have a way out of a potentially serious illness, that's why i will share my successes. My best friend also reported same results with Cantharis. we are in the SF Bay Area in the U.S. and this was prescribed to me by a professional.

Cantharis is the head remedy for urinary troubles, particularly for ladies.
The sensation of needing to urinate, accompanied by a few drops at a time when urination is attempted, and the burning associated with it, are sure indications for Cantharis.
As told by Cassan it aborts many UTIs when taken at the earliest signs.

My father has recurrent uvi after a stroke and before he was described antibiotics. These days he take cantharis D30 for one or two days. For example, yesterday morning he had positive results (=infection) on home test with Nitrite dipstick test, so he took one pill yesterday and one pill today of cantharis D30. This evening the home test show negative results (repeated check 4 times during the day). This much better than antibiotics.

Yes Cantharis comes up for those symptoms, along with roughly 200 other remedies.
But you have not described the state of Cantharis which is to burn like fire, to be in terrible pain that is so violent the patient feels like they are going mad, and most importantly there is a kind of sexual frenzy that comes with the urinary symptoms. It is as if the pain and the burning and the cutting stimulate the genitals and they cannot stop thinking about using them.
It is always the state that matters, not just symptoms, and certainly not common undifferentiated symptoms like those. One of those rubrics had over 700 remedies in it!

Is there any evidence of Cantharis helping with chronic fear, anxiety, ptsd, lack of interest in life, helplessness in the face of unanswerable questions of life and the existence of the universe, god etc, inability to think positively?
