lingering cough

I am a female ageed 45, about two years back I got infected with TB. Allopathic medication did not agree as I kept throwing up all the medicine. then I consulted a very eminent homeopath who cured me of it. After some time I again caught lung infection- cough with greenish sputum. I ignored it and it became wrose. Finally it turned out to be Plueracy. Again the same homeo dr brought it down.
I still on treatment but while the bad cough, inncesent sputum and pain in the sides of my chest is gone.there is a linger cough, sore throat and relief when I cough up some sputum.(very little) this lingering cough has been there for the past six months- however far reduced in intensity. Even my homeo is confused.
I recently read some where that it could be due to some pus collection or resedue of the infection - is it so.
I am really worried at the time period it has lasted- I do not want to go to an allopath.
kindly can some doctor tell me why is it so and what is the remedy?
I have also been suffering insomnia and IBS for the past twenty years and insomnia for the past ten years-cannot seem to be able to fall asleep.

Even my sister suffered from TB at about the same age. However she took allopathic treatment and got over it.
