Hi,
My daughter who is 21/2 years is having cold from last one week with bland discharge.
I gave aconite 30, three times, morning evening, next morning, because it came on exposure to cool breeze. It didn't work. After that i tried nux. 30 as she was having lots of congestion in her nose. I gave her two doses.
Next morning 5 o' clock she woke up crying. She couldn't explain what was bothering her. One time she said stomachache and one time throat is paining and finally she said her ear is hurting inside, left ear. no discharge, no red ears.
She wanted to be carried, and when i put my finger inside her ear and press, she was feeling better.
no fever.
So, i gave her puls.30 , , and put mullien drops in her ear. After half an hour she felt better. I didn't give her another dose, it is 16 hours since i gave the first dose of puls. 30.
Do i have to give more doses for her and how frequent?
This is the question i have. I never treated any acute illness with homeopathy until now.
How should i proceed from now.
This is not the daughter with ear itching problem. This is my younger one.
And what about mullen oil. How many days i should use it?

You may use mullen drops as often as needed, when she asks. VERBASCUM is mullen in homeopathic form.
Children do not just have earaches. It is almost always a combination of the sinus, throat, and ears. This is not an acute illness, but this could turn serious if antibiotics are used. I know this is not your aim, but wanted to draw a picture of the possible problems.
I realize your other child has an actual ear infection. I gave up reading all the posts.
PHYTOLACCA or Verbascum may be considered. Read up on it
and compare symptoms.

Stick to the basics. Follow our Principles. Dont repeat the remedy, till complaints are relieved. Its better to wait & watch.
This rule applied even in case of verbescum ear drops externally. Let the vital force treat the infection. | | |

"Follow our principles?" Does "our" mean I am not of the accepted group?
Come on, lets not begin another arguement. I gave suggestions, not a cut in stone directive. Also, one MAY take the remedy more often. I have proved this over 40 years.
Because there is a difference of opinion does not mean either one is correct, this is why I encourage mothers to follow their intuition. Sabra | | |

You are very much part of our group.
The only confusion comes,when we see experienced prescribers like you and Pankaj,deviate from what we read in Books by Hannemann,Kent,Vithoulkus,and a number of other authors.
Obviously,you learnt your way also by following some books.We shall be greatful if you can provide references of such works,so as we can also can get benefit of their wisdom.
I went to great pains in procuring the book Remedy Relationships by Abdur Rehman as I heard so many people talking so highly of it.Believe me,I will do so,for getting any books you suggest.

Hi Murthy, I am sorry that I cannot direct more reading for you.
The two old doctors that taught me, only let me read portions of different books to learn to compare the wording, and wanted me to pay attention to their words for those 12 years. I then did read many books on homeopathy and other things. Most of those books are now out of print and are antiques smouldering on some unknown shelf.
I watch for old homeopathic books in antique stores and used books. I now am buying them again, and when someone is hungry to read about homeopathy, I give them out. Often the older books were quite small. Hardbound, but paperback size.
Over the years when others were interested in learning, I gave the books away. I do not keep things. Only the remedies. Even then, once I threw them all away according to a spiritual direction I was in. Suddenly, All were given back, from another source. Isn't God amazing???
So, search and you will find that which you want to know and have.
One Doctor that I am impressed with more than others, is Jacques Jouanny MD. His books say "The Essentials of ....The Materia Medica." and "The Homeopathic Therapeutics." These have been out in several languages.
Then I appreciate Ullman, Vithouldas, and "Homeopathic Psychology" by Philip M. Bailey, MD. And the newer edition of Boericke. Of course, not the least, The Organon.

She is not complaining ear ache again. i used only two doses of puls and two times mullien oil.
