Doctors, Once again a post which needs real help. Your advise will help a patient.

Patient: Female, Age 35 years

A cousin of mine who is suffering from Temperol Lobe Epilepsy, is on severe medication which consists of Tegritol 400x200x400 per day plus Fresium and Topomac. Had suggested homeopathy and she had consulted a local homeopath. He tried all the meds and still there was no relief(Bufo Rana, Cuprum Met, Plumbum Met, Oenenta, Nat sulf, Kali N etc). In this forum also there is a post, where Dr Dinesh Sharma suggested Nat Sulph 30C which did not help her.

I, on going thro MM, read Arg Nit, and read the rubrics, she had also eye problem. I suggested her to try Arg Nit 30C daily 1 dose. She informed me that she feels much better and the attacks had reduced and over all she was feeling much better. Since she had taken the meds for 2 weeks, I had asked her to stop for the meds to take effect. However after stopping it, after a few days she again had an attack and then on practically every alternate day she had an attack and last week she had 2 attacks in a day. I asked her to continue Arg Nit 30C daily 1 dose, which she is taking. She informed me that she feels better.

What do I do further in this case. Pls advise the next course of action. My small contribution is helping her. I do not know how to go further ...

Many thks in advance.

B Rgds

if the symptoms are returning, start giving her argent nit 200c ONCE A DAY for seven days and stop.

next, if the symptoms return, give her 1M every 3 to 4 days some 3 doses and stop.

you need to go upto 10M or CM like this if the symptoms return.

please keep in mind that the higher you go, further you space out the doses and lesser are the no. of doses.

10M and CM should be given only once in intervals of 1 month or so.

your protocol is seems to be correct. But did it not adviseable to take her Arg.Nit. in the same potency for another 1/2 weeks when it is working best.I think so.

Yes if necessary Arg. Nit 30 can be taken in wet dose for a few weeks.

i did not get the question..

the change in potency is required only when the symptoms return..

in cases of epilepsy or convulsions, sustained dosage is required for some time. some two or three doses of 1M will benifit the patient.

for mental case, one dose is ok.

Dear Doctors and Well wishers,

Many thanks for the valuable input which you have provided.

After a gap of 10 days, yesterday the patient had a mild attack of epilepsy which recovered very quickly. She did not have the tiredness also which she normally has after an attack.

Yesterday she informed that she gets an aura before an attack, a sort of tingling in the head. She also complained that she gets a taste of pus before the attack, which occured during the previous attack also. After that she was constanstly hawking and spitting.

As she was suffering from her childhood, should I not continue Arg Nit 30C one dose a day till the good feeling tapers off and then increase the potency or the other option would be to go for the wet dose.

Just a query - what happens if we continue the meds for a long time if the patient feels better and the attack is not frequent or comes after 10-15 days.

Anxiously awaiting your advise/inputs/suggestions.

B Rgds

dear mathew,
let dr.rishimba speak. He is handling case very well. However, Arg.Nit.30 can continue for long time keeping in view the progress of the case.

for epilepsy and convulsions, you need to keep repeating the remedy for sometime till the potency doesnt work any more.

then, the potency is to be increased and again repetition is required.

in this case, i cannot say if you should continue argent nit as i do not know the case history and modalities.

if someone has chosen argent nit based on totality, the dosage will be like what i had suggested.
