Painful piles

I have been experiencing minor pilesfrom time to time, with a small soft nodule appearing for a couple of days and then receding for months.

Lately, after an attack of frequent stools due indigestion, piles have developed in full force.

Anus rim has swollen with a few painful soft nodules. They pain when I try to push them in the rectum.

Sitting on a chair is painful. Soreness, burning, pain etc. Even while walking there is awareness of a sore anus.

I have taken a couple of doses of sulphur 30, aloe 30, Aesculius 30, and Nux 30 before sleeping at night.

My approach has been unorganised and ad hoc, therefore there is no relief. If anything, these seem to have become worse.

This morning I even started taking sitz bath, which does give a brief spell of relief.

Please advise a structured approach for curing this malady.

Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Take 2 doses of Thuja 200... in a day. Morning and evening. Then stop.

After 48 hours start with Aesculus Hip 200 C.

As advised, I took two doses of Thuja 200 yesterday.

Today, I find small swollen veins around the anus and rectum which are painful and uncomfortable while sitting on a chair.

Again, as advised, I shall take esculius 200 from tomorrow. Please let me know the dosage and for how long.

Also would u like to advise any other remedies in view of the swelling of veins as mentioned above.

Thanks

Doctor Sahab,

I have taken a dose of Aesculius 200 this morning. Please advise how many times in a day and for how many days.

Wait 2 more days...before taking any other dose.

Thuja seems to have started an aggravation...that is a good sign...you are on the road to recovery.

I have ticked the box 'Email me' when there is a post here.

Thanks for your further response.

I have followed your advice but there is no relief from swelling of veins around anus and their painful effects. In fact, swellings on one side of anus have developed into a couple of tiny soft grapes. I try to push these into the rectum but these retract soon after. They are sore and quite painful.

I am continuing to take sitz bath once daily for 15-20 minutes. May be it would help in the long term.

Please advise further course of action.

Aesculus works best when the haemorriodal pain shoots up the back. In the absence of backache aesculus is unlikely to help.

What you need is medicines like Nitric acid/Muriatic acid/aloe. We need more details to select the appropriate medicine.

Any way try Aesculus for whatever it is worth and come back after using as suggested.

yes if Aseculus is not responding then Nitric Acid is good in this case.

Thank you doctor friends for the additional inputs.

Dear patient..if Aesculus does not help...I would recommend that you take :

Collinsonia Can. 200

Collinsonia ,when indicated works best in mother tincture form.

Collinsonia works best when there is severe constipation along with Haemorroids. If the bowel movements of regular, it is unlikely to help.

Collinsonia

Works in a number of potencies. In view of the severity of the problem I have suggested 200 potency.

MT might cause aggrevation...for this patient.

With piles.....bowel movement 99% chance..... it will be irrregular or unfulfilled.

You are a moderator there...why don't you improve that site.

I will not jump to conclusions. That is why I said we need more details before we prescribe.

Dear Mr Murthy,

Thanks for your advice. What further details would u like me to furnish?

You should tell us since how long you are having this problem. What could have triggered it?

Is the pain aggravated after stool? How long does it last? What do you normally do to get relief?

Do you have constipation? How are your bowel movements normally?

Did you try to wash the anus area with cold water and hot water? If you have tried which one gives relief?

What other problems do you have unrelated to the pilesproblem? List all of them.

You may need to answer more supplementary questions.

I pulled this out from the ABC Archives for you:

Re: DISEASE OF PILESFrom shamid on 2003-10-29
piles and hemorrhoids are derived from Latin and Greek. Hemorrhoids are dilated veins on or within the anus between the body's two venous systems; the body-wide or systemic network and the portal venous system that drains the viscera the porta or gate to the liver.
when the pile is strangulated or clotted. Hemorrhoids come in four degrees, 1) small without protrusion, 2) slipping out on stooling but returnable, 3) do not return spontaneously after stooling but can be replaced, and 4) those that hang out all the time.
The problem for the doctor is to determine if the hemorrhoids are there on their own or are hiding or mimicking other problems such as anal fissure (a painful anal crack), cancer, abscess, or Crohn's disease (segmental relapsing colon inflammation). The hemorrhoids ocur in three locations: left side, right back, or right front locations and should be looked at. The lower gut can be seen with an anoscope (skopeo to look at), a sigmoidoscope or colonoscope or by a barium enema.

Homoeopathy treatment for PILES:

Collinsonia 200 1dose only and than start the following.
AESCULUS HIP.Q=1x
dose(10 drops thrice daily)before meals, alternate with
Hamamelis Virg.Q=1x
dose(20 drops after every meal.

Take Care,
Shamid

Dear Doctors,

Thanks for your concern and combined application of mind.

It is obvious that the correct medicine can be selected only after a study of totality of symptoms. Furnishing piecemeal information to you thru this post may not enable you to make a comprehensive choice of the correct remedy(ies).

Therefore, I have decided to consult a homoeopathic practitioner in Delhi.

Thank you very much for your concern, time and advice.

Mostly two causes of piles. Heavy straining in the process of ejaculation, mostly happens to people with constipation. Some lucky ones get piles and unlucky ones get diverticulitis.

Second thing but reason stays same is the hard stool, rubbing of hard stool to anus walls.

Constipation must be taken care.

sskps there is no shortage of homeopaths in India, many are good ones. If you participate here with your case, you can be more educated to get your treatment even if you go to a homeopath. You can help him better to treat you.

Try Hamamalis 30, 6 globules , thrice a day for 10-12 days
