Speech delay

Aryan was born on Jan 02 2003. It was an elective C Section and he was born at the end of 36 weeks. He had mild jaundice right after his birth(2nd day). I had gestational diabites adn was on insulin shots every day from 28 weeks onwards. I underwent too many ultrasound check up from 30 weeks onwards to monitor the babys growth. He had all his vaccinations on time and particularly i noticed change in him after his second dose of DPT given at 6+months when he bacame restless and it is continuing since then. Even now he is restless. He was very healthy. he got his first cold when he was 9 months. he had 3 ear infections in a matter of 4 months and used to have bronchial asthama every time he gets cold. He was given albuterol adn pulmicort and was on nebulizer. He had diaorhea couple of times. some times he runs a very high fever 105 for 2-3 days, this happened twice sofar. He will be turning 3 this coming January 2, 2008 but still hasn't been able to communicate in sentences. He talks very few words like juice, water, mickey, brush, nose, chip (potato Chips), T.V, car, keys, over, finish,hot, pant, shirt, shoes, Nemo, doggy, bird, plane,daddy, mommy and calls her by name, light, fan, nigh nite, morning, come on, good job, yakki ( when he blows his nose or does potty), Pee pee, Poop, wash, calls his food appa and asks for it when he is hungry, cookie, chicken, bread, lets go, lets play, kick, ball, hey buddy and may be few more.He is petty trained day only.

Since 3 months he has started to go to preschool. My inquiry at the school revealed he enjoys music, plays with toys ( more by himself) and does not talk much. They said he is a shy kind but does responds when being called. I am getting worried now but his paediatrician says that he is normal clinically and does not have any signs of concern. Do you think is this a concern. But he enjoys working with laptops. He can boot them shut them down. Open the windows explorer and plays with all the tabs including changing the system volume tabs. He can go to favourites and exactly open the web sites and navigate through them like an adult. some of his favourite websites are children's BBC, you tube where i have shortlisted some of the cartoon characters for him. He opens them makes a search on the particular character and plays around with him.

Physically he is well build and double his birth height and more than 3 times his birth weight. He was born at the end of 36 weeks but healthy.He is asthmatic but under control. He sucks his right thumb. He wears his clothes on his own. Takes of his diaper, put them in thrash, keeps his clothes in laundry and then prefers to go in for shower. He is getting potting trained. He runs to potty when he has to pee saying pee pee. He poops and ask for a diaper and says poo pie. I can go on and on but not sure what exactly you require. I would appreciate if you can throw in some light on his condition. Also he says all the rhymes, like baba black sheep, twinkle twinkle little star, itsy bitsy spider, counts from 1-20 and 10's - 100. A-Z, can't say colors but can match all the colors exactly in a puzzle. Only color he says is blue color. Very active can't frame sentences but cries to catch the attention of parents.
