pls help- holistic dog refusing food !

Dog
age: 6.5yrs
breed: king shepherd
sex: male-intact
weight: usually 120lbs
vaccines: only 1 puppy set
medications: none ever
supplements: c,msm,kelp etc
raw fed holistic diet-no grains

problem: refusing food, noticeable weightloss, lethargic, sad, sort of diarreah

have tried to find homeopathic vet locally- so called one gave us Revolution for their itching last year-said he doesn't have much 'luck' with skin conditions and homeopathy-I refused and fixed it myself. Took this dog to another highly recommded vet for same scratching- she 'talked' to the dog-told me all the wrong way I handle him for 2 hours. Then when I reminded her why we were there she gave us 2 herbs with no results. VERY frustrating!!!!

he was also given stramonium when he was 3 for his growly behaviour.

refusing raw food since this new shipment of organic necks and backs- other dog eating it no problem. (still loves cat kibble if cat drops them or kids feed them to him and dog biscuits at chiropractors)Still eager to eat but sniffs it and walks away, comes back sniffs it - walks away. Will eat table scraps!! I gave him arsenicum 30c, then a 200c 6 and 4 days ago and he did then eat some organic raw grouund beef and some liver- but NOT the chicken, cottage cheese or flax oil. last night he ate a wee bit of beef but that was it. accepted cooked chicken broth though.

diarreah: liquid and part solid bowel movements- squirts out. was beige, now dark.

1 month ago he started seeking SOFT couch/bed ALL the time. Seemed to get worse(took him to chiropractor - much improvement) gave him arnica 200c 7 days ago.

prefers warmth, but will lay in snow in the sun sometimes. head feels hot sometimes, I haven't checked his temp.

water consumption has decreased alot-was drinking lots a couple months ago

sad temperment, sleeps alot-rolls eyes in the head when sleeping sometimes. Sleeps curled up on couch and completely flat on side on the hardwood floor. 2 nights now he has gone into spare room up on bed with all pilesof clothes etc. He's growly but that is nothing new(he has past emotional issues with this), he still 'jogs' where he needs to go, will still bark at people coming up laneway and coyote or deer in the field. alert and wagging tail sometimes, otherwise sad and laying on couch.

not playing tug games with me or children. Will play briefly with female dog.

seems exhausted.

gave him some colloidal silver in case of infection.

giving him home brewed essiac tea.

coat is fine but could be shinier. ears appear fine. no lumps or bumps on skin, no eye discharge, teeth appear good.

thyroid maybe???

please advise, I'm very worried about him, and if I take him to a vet locally they are going to want to give him drugs!!!

thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
have you given him probiotics?

Have you given him Nux vom?

no and no.

still any advice appreciated!

vet charges more money then we have but tests we can afford say 'not sure but could be':

leptospirosis
poisoning
obstruction

blood work shows:

liver problems
anemia
hepatitis

our male dog now also threw up twice today. still diarreah-dark-slimy

our female dog is now throwing up too-yellow frothy bile and off food.

i gave them zincum met 30c after reading one of my homeopathic vet books and colloidal silver and a reiki treatment. they have not thrown up since and the male ate an old raw steak in 3 seconds!!! still refused organic chicken and ground beef.

male ate 2-3 ounces of cottage cheese first time-previously refused.

any thoughts very helpful.

thank you

wendy

has anyone suggested it could be salmonella poisoning from raw food?

Dogs have been known to get salmonella poisoning from raw food.

Make sure to keep him hydrated. Your dog may need IV intervention.

phosphorus may be helpful.

Do a search at this site for salmonella, e-coli for remedy suggestions
