serotonin for mood swings and concentration

I have a 7 year old daughter diagnonsed with down syndrome that deals with hypothyroidism as well. She has mood swings, sometimes extreme but also poor concentration in school. She tries to concentrate but she fails and then gets angry and does nasty things to avoid failure. I was told serotonin is effected in the body of ds. Is there any homeopathics that help with serotonin in a ds body? Thank you for your help! Blessings!

Girilal,
I've tried the Baryata Carbonica that you speak of. I believe I have a bottle or two in my cupboard now (liquid form). My daughter use to see a homeopathic doctor that prescribed this. As I recall, she did well for a week or so (seemed to really improve her personality as a whole) but then into the end of the second week it took a turn for the worse. It was as though the effect wore off and she was resorting to her old self but maybe a bit worse. The homeopathic doctor had her on several things that I can't say whether it was this or one of the others that was doing the damage but I do know that many of the homeopathics she had her on really did not do well with her. She is very sensitive to mental changes when given anything new (even supplements sometimes) in the homeopathic realm. If I remember correctly though, this Baryata Carbonica really showed initial improvements and I was so excited but then they wore off. I've not tried the Bufo Rana though so that may be something new to try. As well, I remember this homeopathic doctor switching remedies after a few weeks (ie. she'd give different groups of remedies for a few weeks and then off to another group and then back to this remedy in a different strength etc.) The cost was extreme and my family could no longer afford the upkeep of these remedies (which were in liquid form w/alcohol base). She insisted on remedies from this particular company who charged higher than any I had found on the internet. If Bufo Rana will help her stay focused to concentrate, it is what I need then. Maybe her mind gets fatiqued and maybe the hypothyroidism plays into this (however she is taking a natural thyroid called Armour)? By that I mean I can tell that she mixes concepts sort of like a Dyslexia person but not to the extreme. Sometimes she appears to have ADD as one would expect a child w/ADD to act. I feel sorry for her and don't know how to keep her focused then after maybe a period of time, something just clicks and she is back and remembers what to do or how to do it and gets her work done. Strange and frustrating to see this with her but it is so and usually on a daily basis though I've seen days where she is so wonderful and no confusion and these days are miracles to me as I cherish her presence with joy. Blessings!
