I took the hepar solution early this afternoon I believe. She seems to be in better spirits, but still not really herself. What in the diet are you referring to as affecting her through breastfeeding? I'm assuming sugar, but anything else? I don't use cow's milk products very often.

i refer to weekend diet (just past)......and any exteme sweets--or unbalanced diet---it is not to say this is the causation--but need to be in consideration...

please describe exactly ---what is meant?"...better spirits, but still not herself..."

She was happier and smiling more last night before bed, but still looks pale to me in the face. And just looks a little sick around the eyes. She has just woken up and I am going to go get her out of bed now, so I don't know how she is this morning except that she slept soundly all night, with of course the usual wakings for nursing but no restlessness or crying.

This has been going on for 6 days? Maybe you should try taking her to a medical doctor.

Note the bottom of every page on this forum:

"If symptoms persist, seek professional medical attention."

Please seek out a professional doctor immediately.

Yes, Orume, I agree. Taking her to the doctor is the next step. Thanks for your concern. I haven't done it yet because she seemed to be getting better over the weekend and actually is doing better today. But if the symptoms return, my plan is to take her to the doctor. I hesitate because they already told me that my sulfa reaction is not going to affect her, so I am thinking they will tell me she has a flu bug and to give her liquids, etc.

John, she was not eating well yesterday in that I waited to feed her until later in the day since she had vomited during the night and she nursed only until about 2:00 pm and then she ate about two ounces of food and I felt like I was forcing it into her because she was not that interested in it. But today she is eating better. She has eaten twice, about two ounces in the morning and almost four ounces at lunch. She also is not pale today and is smiling and laughing, so I am hoping she is going to be well for good now.
