Hair thinning and falling out in the shower

Ever since I was young I have always had thin hair. However I am 33 yrs old and I am noticing more and more lately that when I take a shower more and more hair is in the drain. What can I do to make my hair grow back again and possible get thicker. Any suggestions?? Please help.

I am 33 yrs old.
I am a Female.
Suitable season for me is Spring and Fall.
I do not know of any health issues as my doctors have ran blood tests and they say that I am fine.
I am overweight and have been struggling with my weight problem for years. I was checked for possible polysystic ovaries however I was advised I do not have it both my sistersd have it though. I was told I am not diabetic however I had gestational diabetes while pregnant. I do not have high blood pressure. I however smoke which I am trying to quit. I have tried taking Chantex the new drug on the market to quit smoking and no luck. What else is needed to know??
