The ABC Homeopathy Forum

For Rajendra

Dear Rajendra

Let us discuss about Bell here.

The Belladona throat complaints are common complaints that occur due to definite causation like exposure of the head to cold winds.

They come very fast after the exposure.

In the case of Ryelink, the problem didn't come suddenly. It came very gradually.

Moreover the causation is different which has no bearing with Bell.

I am not suggesting that Boericke is not good. What I am trying to convey to you is that Boercke alone is not sufficient to aid in remedy selection.

There are hundreds of books written after Boericke. Each book tells us a different thing in a different way.

Any acute problem that lingers on is not Bell. Bell's problem either get resolved fast, or the symptoms change to indicate a new medicine.

The unchanged symptoms for weeks together as is the case of Ryelink are in no way Bell.

Dear Rajendra

We have certain limitations in prescribing on the forums.

We can expect results fast in some cases, and have to follow the wait and see approach in some cases.

It is not correct to interject with comments like

'patient is still suffering'

'Should he suffer for one more week' etc..

just to make the patient try your prescription.

Once you give an alternate prescription, leave it to the patient to decide what he wants to do.

No need to coax him to try your prescription immediately.

If you have some patience, the patient will try it eventually, if the former prescription is not helping.

Another thing I want to mention is about your oft repeated negative remarks about taking the help of technology available in deciding about the remedy.

There is nothing wrong in using computerised repertories, as it is a great convenience.

Did you ever imagine that you can prescribe like this on the net, a few years before?

Since you understood the technology, it has become a matter of routine for you.

Similar is the case with computerised repertories. Once you master them, you will wonder how did you manage without them so far.

Hi Rajendra

I don't want the patient's threads to get disturbed.

I will answer all your queries here.

Do you have any repertory with you?
