Food Allergy=Tonsil Stones | From Ryelink [Log on to view profile] | on 2007-09-14 |

Just wanted to share a quick story.
I started taking Chlorella about month and half ago. It is a green algea superfood in the form of a pill. Many people are unable to take this as they can experience allergies to it. Well sure enough i started getting heart burn. I slowed down and once problems subsided I resumed taking it again. It always felt like I had something stuck in my throat though. Last week I noticed that I had a tonsil stone. First one ever in my life. I shot it of the back of throat with water in a syringe but now notice I have an absolutley huge sticking up right behind my tongue that I cant get off. It has felt awful for a couple of weeks and even though Ive stopped supplement it remains.
Im not sure if many people realize the suspected relationship between stones and food allergies.
Just started Mercurius.
Damn I so wanted to be able to take Chlorella but obviously my body is telling me otherwise. |

I really appreciate the suggestion. Can you kindly explain the reasoning behind your prescription.
Very much appreciated.

Baryta Carb seems credible to my untrained eye, but no more so then Mercurius Iodatus Flavus. The pain and growths started on the right side and have worked left.
Please discuss this with me.
Also a second opinion would be much appreciated as im done trying different remedies to hope they work on me.
Murthy I know your reading this thread, please jump in.
Thanks again!! | | |

Can you see the swelling in a mirror?
It started on right side and now the left side too is affected. Is it correct?
Does it hurt as it is?
Does it hurt even more when you drink/eat?
How bad is the pain?

I can see it just sticking over the top of my toungue near back of mouth. I believe it has formed on the front wall of throat. It looks to be at least 1 1/2 inches wide centered in my throat. It looks off white but I also see some red almost like veins in it. I wondered if it simply isnt my epiglottis that is horribly inflamed as a result from the allergic reaction to the Chlorella. I cant say it really hurts. It bugs me, kind of like when you swallow something and it gets stuck in your throat. I know its there at all times but it dosent consume me (although the more I talk about it, it does, haha).
It does aggravate when swallowing from food or drink. My tongue is also coated. The colour reminds me of when you have a coating on your tongue then you drink a cup of coffee. Yellowish brown. As mentioned earlier I first found a large mass behind my soft pallate on the right side which I was able to remove. I had the same feeling as something stuck in the side of my throat and boy did it ever feel better for a few days once it was removed. It looked like a piece of cooked chicken breast, and yes it smelled foul.:-) After it was removed I remember stating that there was another one farther down with the exact same feeling.
I did have a cold for the past three weeks as well. Nothing very serious but I did also have some post nasal drip. This has since passed. I doubt that this is related as Ive never experienced problems in my throat from colds but who knows as I have gone through some initial antimiasmatic treatments over the past year but havent taken anything in 5 or 6 months.

Cemtered in your throat?
May be Uvula. Not tonsils.

no under the uvula comming up from the bottom behind tongue. The top of it runs straight across in a perfect fashion horizontally which makes me wonder if it isnt something inflamed.
| Re: Food Allergy=Tonsil Stones | From gavinimurthy [Log on to view profile] | on 2007-09-14 |
O.K.
It is neither tonsils nor uvula.
I will come back tomorrow. Need time to study.

Gavini, heck maybe I am clarivoyant after all. Doctor just looked into my throat and said my epiglottis is horribly inflamed. Must have been the stomach acid from the heartburn that caused this problem.
| Re: Food Allergy=Tonsil Stones | From gavinimurthy [Log on to view profile] | on 2007-09-15 |
He must have told you about the prognosis for this condition.
Read this . There are 12 concise pages,
http://www.emedicinehealth.com/epiglottitis/article_em.htm
Confirm that you have read all the pages and come back.
We will discuss what to do.

Murthy you have my attention. The doctor did not seem that concerned about this condition. Didnt even tell me to take antiinflammatories which is what I expected him to say.
Please tell me your thoughts. I am leaving for holidays in twelve hours and wont have much access to a computer. I will read the final couple of pages and wait for your response.
| Re: Food Allergy=Tonsil Stones | From Ryelink [Log on to view profile] | on 2007-09-15 |
I have now read the 12 pages. My epiglottis is not infected thank goodness, but I definetely see the severity. | This thread continues beneath the following ad.

O.K.
I don't want to alarm you, but better to be cautious, in case any emergency develops.
Murphy has got a rubric inflammation, epiglottis; All.c,chlor,hepat,wye..which are all grade 1.
Grade 1 medicines mean they cured this problem in a few cases.
Any way, let me study further and come back as quickly as possible.
What are your thoughts?

I hav Allium Cepa in A 30C
I have hepar in a 6x, 30c, 200c, and LM1
to me out of those four Hepar sounds the best from Kents notes that I have access to online
| Re: Food Allergy=Tonsil Stones | From gavinimurthy [Log on to view profile] | on 2007-09-15 |
No.It is not hepar. It is hepat.(hepatica triloba)
All.cepa has a Constricted feeling in region of epiglottis.
Chlorum :Constriction, with suffocation. Spasm of the glottis. Irritation of epiglottis, larynx, and bronchi. Loss of voice from damp air. Sudden dyspnœa from spasm of the vocal cords, with staring protruding eyes, blue face, cold sweat, pulse small. Inspiration free, with obstructed expiration.
(seems to be for emergencies)
Wyethia is basically for dryness of epiglottis.
Hepatica has a Sensation about epiglottis as if particles of food remained.
Read all about these four remedies in Boericke.
http://homeoint.org/books/boericmm/index.htm
It doesn't take much time.

I will read them, dont we simply need a general anti inflammatory until I can get these medicines until tomorrow?
| Re: Food Allergy=Tonsil Stones | From gavinimurthy [Log on to view profile] | on 2007-09-15 |
Take a dose of allium cepa 30c and we will review tomorrow morning.
What are the anti inflammatories you have in mind?
Murthy | | |
| Re: Food Allergy=Tonsil Stones | From Ryelink [Log on to view profile] | on 2007-09-15 |
dare I say Advil for general inflamation relief?
Hepat - sensation if particles of food remained. This statement is true.
Allium Cepa - nothing really mentioned about throat in link you provided. Nothing matches well in Kents notes I have either though.
Chlorum - no
Wyethia - this following statement matches.
Throat feels swollen; epiglottis dry and burning. Difficult swallowing.
I still say have a look at Hepar though. It seems to fit well.
I have taken Allium Cepa and am off to bed. I so appreciate what youve done here Gavini. Thank you.
First thing in the morning I will purchas both Hepat and Wyethia and take them with me. Which potencies should I aquire?
I will be able to access this site through my cell phone so I will keep in touch. Thanks again.
| Re: Food Allergy=Tonsil Stones | From gavinimurthy [Log on to view profile] | on 2007-09-15 |
Procure in 30c potency.
Normally dryness causes shrinking. In your case it is the reverse.
I will look into hepar too.
Good night.
