A case of shoulder joints replacement for homeooapthy treatment
Mr. X. age 52 years , India , came today with his x-ray of the both shoulder joints. Over 3 months now essentially with complaints. Of pain and increasing restriction of movement of both the shoulder joints. He claims an injury to the same some 10 years ago when both shoulder were injured by a fall on the outstretched hand, the were then treated conservatively. The resent set of problems started approximately 18 months ago.He is suffering from tpe 2 diabetes mellitus and well controlled Hypertension. Both the deltoids and supraspinatus show atrophy of disuse. There is no specific are of focal tenderness. The movements , both active and assisted active are grossly reduced and attempted movements are painful.
Radiology and MRI are confirmatory of advanced arthritis of the humeral head with elementary changes of arthritis of the glenoid as well . He hase received multiple intra-articular injections with minimal benefit.
Considering his age and condition of the gelohumeral joint. He has advised for arthoplasty of the humeral head (complete shoulder replacement) by Senior consultant orthopaedics , Max super specility Hospital and Capio Reading Hospital , UK .
