chronic

Hello,
What does it mean when something is the ' chronic' of a remedy. for example, how does one know if to use Natrum Mur or it's chronic, Apis?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
nat.mur is the chronic of apis. Not vice versa.

For certain conditions when apis is indicated, but fails to relieve completely, nat.mur has to be studied.

One example is dropsy with scanty urine, and certain fevers, skin affections like urticaria.
