Breast Engorgement - Weaning Baby

I am weaning my 11 month old and expect breast engorgement and clogged ducts. I have taken phytolocca successfully for clogged ducts - anything to deal with the engorgement and pain from not nursing?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I think that if you have so much engorgement and pain that you may be weaning too quickly. Best to wean slowly to eliminate pain and engorgement and also most of all slower weaning will be better emotionally for your little one. Start by eliminating the easiest or least missed nursing session for the first week. See www.lalecheleague.org for the best advice on breastfeeding, weaning and parenting, you can get.
