Thyroidinum Bad for Tubercular Patients?

I read some posts on this web site that made me think Thyroidinum could be quite useful for my thyroid condition. Then I read on another web site that Thyroidinum should not be used on Tubercular patients.
I have 2 related questions: 1) What is a Tubercular patient? 2) Should they really not use this remedy, and if not--why?
