Twisted Gut

My father is in hospital and currently awaiting a possible operation to remove part of his intestine as it is twisted - something to do with the valve between the small intestine and sigmoid colon.

He has a primary tumour in the sigmoid colon and metastasis in liver, lung (slightly) and lymph which is the reason his bowel got blocked and hence is twisted.

Can anyone suggest remedies in order to avoid having this operation which will result in a non-reversible colostomy bag.

Thank you
Fi

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
In case anyone is interested, I took matters into my own hands, gave him a combination of Aloe, Colchicum and Colocynthis and as a result he spent all night on the loo and his bowel is now unblocked.

The lesson to be learned? Have faith in yourself.
