Canine Lock Jaw

I have a 15 month old Fila (half mastiff half blood hound) that has lock jaw. He weighs 150 lbs. Currently he is being treated for Tetnus with the anti-toxin and two anti-biotics. They are considering using prednisone but are waiting to see the results of a muscle m m blood test. He can only open 15 mm in the anterior which makes eating and drinking extremely difficult. Is there a homeopathic for prednisone or are there any other thoughts or treatment ideas that you have experience with.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Ledum and hypericum are the two homeopathic remedies generally associated with prevention or treatment of tetanus. Someone else would need to recommend an appropriate dosing regime. Good luck!

Your poor pup....I have also read that Ledum is best for Tetanus. I hope your pup recovers quickly! Skip those steroids if you can!

consider this a bump to the top!

Alternate Ledum 1M and Hypericum 1M each three doses in 3 days. Should help.

Once the situation has improved can give Tetanus Toxin 200 (nosode material)thrice for resolution.
