baby puffy eyelids

Hi---My baby is 8 months old and has had puffy eyelids since he was 2 months old (he was 6 weeks premature). I have been to the allergist and opthamologist and everyone agress it doesnt look normal but no one could give us a reason or anything to do. They tried him on antibiotics to see if it was sinus related (he often sneezes and gets congested) but to no avail. I have tried a few remedies but nothing has worked-such as calcarea carbonia, lycopodium, pulsitila, silcea...Does anyone have any other suggestions--please include dosage and how often and long to give it to the baby and exactly how to give it to a baby..Thanks...It's been months with no change and I feel completely helpless...

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Give your baby Apis 30 C twice a day for three days.
If the puffiness reduces, continue for three more days. Report Please.

Hi--My baby who was 6 weeks premature is in the 25% for height but his weight is below the charts (sometimes it reaches 5%). WE tried tot start solids 2 months ago but he has difficulty eating at this time. We did have him evaluated by early intervention and it seems that he has some low tome in his mouth and tongue thrusting. his hair is light brown and skin is light, looking pale sometimes. our concern is his puffy eyes. While his muscle tone in the rest of the body is normal, he has weak pelvic muscles and will hopefully be getting some Physical therapy from early intervention. his temperment is sweet and calm (he was collicky for the first 4 1/2 months but then it stopped). His sleep patterns are totally inconsistent. A few weeks ago he was sleeping through the night and/or waking up once-now he has been waking 2-3 times at night and having a hard time going back to sleep (seperation anxiety has increased and is part of the reason he has a hard time going back to sleep after feeding him at night. HIs morning naps are also inconsistent-sometimes he sleeps 2 hours and other time 1/2 hour. and his afternoon naps are poor--usually lasting 30 minutes. He's increasingly frustrated becuase we are trying to put him more on his tummy to build his muscles and it seems that he gets frustrated that he can't crawl yet. His appetite--he drinks about 2, 3 ounces every 2-3 hours. ( I just stopped nursing a month ago due to vaso spasm issues)...He was breastfed for 7 months and used to be on me for long periods of time...He's almost always congested-runny nose, watery eyes-but there has been no disgnosis of allegies yet-though it appears that way with the puffy eyes and everything...anything else? My biggest concern is the frequent congestion and puffy eyes that NEVER go away and get worse with congestion..please help....

My Daughtr is 8 months old next week and has the same issue. We used Homeopathy for delivery and since birth. She's breastfed and has since started solids (no meat yet and mostly organic). She's used various remedies over her 8 months as she has had atleast 1 cold/month since birth. I wondered myself if she had allergies but didn't have all the other symptoms from reading your story, I don't think that's what it is. She's developing very fast (almost walking) and is generally happy when not teething but these puffy eyes are a mystery. Please let me know if you find something that helps or get a diagnosis. I'll do the same.

I would also love it if anyone else has any ideas. I have gotten the colds with my daughter every month and to be honest i've never had so many colds in my life! For me they all went into my chest after starting in my nose and throat. My daughter's stayed in her sinuses until this most recent one. I did not give her any remedy for the cold this time as she was taking calc C for teething. Now her cold moved into her chest and she is coughing in bed. I'm giving her Ars which seems to be helping but i'd really like to know why we keep getting all these cold and if its connected somehow to her puffy eyelids (weak immune?)
